After a couple of days with slightly unstable weather (and by unstable, I mean being kept awake by thunderstorms), I’m happy to announce that it’s yet again sunny and warm. Perfectly timed for the arrival of my parents-in-law.
We served Paella the day they arrived, and today we’re filling their tummies with something perhaps a little less exotic: Spaghetti. For dessert, we opted for Heidi’s Meringue (the ‘dough’ is already in the oven).
As an appetiser, I made wine spritzer, which, just like Hugo (though not as flavoursome), is a nice, refreshing Summer drink.
As the glasses were only small, and as this was meant to be a welcome drink, these were the measurements I used:
1 dl wine
0.5 dl fizzy water
A couple of ice cubes
Half a strawberry (purely for decoration purposes)
Then quickly -you don’t want the ice cubes to melt or the fizzy to fizz out- mix the three ingredients and place the strawberry on the glass’s edge for a bit of colour.
